Due to the weather this winter, we have had to cancel school more than usual. The Indiana Department of Education has granted us a waiver for the day missed on January 26, when the state was under a State of Emergency declaration.
With that said, February 16, March 27, and May 1 will now be make-up days, and students will be in session on those dates. Although March 27 was not originally designated as a make-up day on the school calendar, school will be in session that day. If a student or family had preexisting plans on March 27, the absence will be excused if the student brings a note from a parent or guardian indicating those plans.
The good news is that, unless additional cancellations occur, the last student day of school will remain Friday, May 22.
Thank you for your flexibility and continued support as we work to meet state instructional requirements while minimizing disruption to our families.

Students in grades 4-6 who were present 90% of the days in the second 9 weeks, have all on-grade level or above grade-level scores, are amicable, and have a great attitude were invited to go ice skating at Howard Park and then lunch at Barnaby's Pizza in South Bend on Monday! It was a pleasure celebrating the students.
