Last week we wrapped up summer break with our youth basketball camp. It was awesome to see so many young athletes eager to learn, work hard, and have fun. One thing became clear throughout the week, there is a lot of talent in our youth program. More importantly, there are great kids who are excited to learn. Coaches are excited to continue investing in our young players and helping them develop both on and off the court. Thank you to everyone who came out. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for Bobcat basketball!

Twenty-three Kindergarten students attended 5 half-days of school this week. The Kinders had fun getting to know new students, going through the lunch line, and learning the school's general procedures. Thank you to Northern Indiana Community Foundation for making this opportunity happen for our Kinders.

This summer has been a busy one! Mrs Roberts and the culinary students would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our outstanding maintenance and custodial staff for all of their hard work updating our Culinary Lab. Their dedication, craftsmanship, and countless hours of work have transformed our space, and we truly appreciate everything they have done.
We are also incredibly grateful to the Northern Indiana Community Foundation for its generous grant, along with the support of our Culinary program. Together, these resources have allowed us to make exciting improvements that will benefit our students for years to come.
One of the biggest additions is our new three-bay sink, which now allows Oregon-Davis to expand our Ivy Tech dual credit offerings. We are excited to announce that HOSP 102 has been added to our dual credit course offerings, joining HOSP 101 and HOSP 104. The Family and Consumer Sciences Department now offers three dual credit courses, giving students even more opportunities to earn college credit while still in high school.
These improvements also position our program for additional dual credit opportunities in the future as we continue to grow and meet the needs of our students academically.
Stay tuned! We can't wait to unveil our newly updated Culinary Lab and share photos as we kick off the new school year. We are excited for our students to experience the new space and all of the opportunities it will provide.
