Meet Coach Snodgrass! 🐾🏀
We are excited to welcome Brandon Snodgrass, better known as “Snod” or “Coach S,” to the Bobcat family! Coach S will be teaching High School Weights, 9th & 8th Grade Health, 7th & 8th Grade PE, High School Personal Finance, and Work-Based Learning. He is also the Varsity Bobcat Volleyball and Basketball Coach.
Outside of school, Brandon enjoys golfing, running, spending time with his nieces and nephews, and participating in way too many fantasy sports leagues. He also enjoys spending time with his dad and brother talking basketball strategy. When it comes to his favorite teams, you can find him cheering for the Cubs, IU, Colts, and Pacers!
Brandon's journey in education has taken him well beyond Indiana. His first teaching job out of college was in Quito, Ecuador, where he spent five years. He describes those years as the best experience of his life and is thankful for the many memories and friendships he made along the way. While in Ecuador, he learned Spanish and continues to work on maintaining and improving his ability to speak the language. He hopes to eventually add Spanish to his teaching license. Looking ahead, Coach Snodgrass has no plans to stop learning. One of his goals is to return to school in the next couple of years to earn a fourth degree in administration.
When asked why he chose to become a Bobcat, Coach S said: “I knew about the rich history of the Bobcat Basketball Programs (boys and girls) and I wanted to be part of something special. I hope I can do my part and put Bobcat Basketball on the map.”
We are excited to have Coach Snodgrass bringing his experience, passion for education, and love of basketball to Oregon-Davis. We can't wait to see the impact he makes both in the classroom and throughout our athletic programs!

We are excited to announce that Oregon-Davis School Corporation has once again been selected as a recipient of Indiana's Secured School Safety Grant!
This year's award of $84,280 will allow us to continue investing in the safety and security of our students, staff, and schools.
Over the years, Secured School Safety Grant funding, along with local investments, has helped Oregon-Davis build multiple layers of school safety — including our CENTEGIX CrisisAlert System, Raptor Visitor Management, PikMyKid dismissal system, full-time School Resource Officer and Oregon-Davis Police Department, and advanced video and camera systems.
Receiving this grant allows us to continue building upon those investments because providing a safe and secure learning environment remains one of our highest priorities.

We are excited to welcome Todd Keen, better known as “Beekers” or “TK,” to the Bobcat family! Mr. Keen will be teaching Shop Class at the high school, bringing hands-on experience and a passion for helping students turn ideas into something they can see, use, and be proud of.
Todd earned his GED from Knox and completed training through the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA). Outside of school, Todd enjoys helping others and spending time with his family. He has been married to Krista Keen since 2012 and is the proud dad of Todd Jr., Coty Austin, Broty Daniel, Tucker Ryan, and Dawsen Michele. His kids are also part of the Oregon-Davis family, making this a school community that is especially close to home.

Meet Coach J! 🐾🧡
We are excited to welcome Justin Sowles—better known as “Coach J”—to the Bobcat family! Mr. Sowles will be teaching AP Literature/Lang, English 10, Film Literature, Creative Writing, and Student Media.
A Purdue graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a master’s degree in Education from Western Governors University, Mr. Sowles brings a passion for education and a genuine love for his students to Oregon-Davis.
When he’s not in the classroom, you can find Mr. Sowles swimming, traveling, playing video games, watching the Indianapolis Colts, spending time with his three kids, or playing with his dog. Some of his favorite include lasagna, Mt. Dew Baja Blast, Five Guys, Longhorn Steakhouse, Orange and Colts Blue, Scythe, Iron Man, and The Big Bang Theory, He is also a licensed pastor and attends the Mennonite Church in Kouts. He is a proud dad to Jaxon (17), Xander (14), and Trinity (13), who he describes as his world and his reason for being here.
When asked why he chose to be part of the Bobcat family, Mr. Sowles said:
“I chose to be a part of the Bobcat family because it is just that, a family. I love that this school is so small and I have gotten the opportunity to get to know all of the students. I love every student that has walked through my door as if they were my own. My coworkers are all so wonderful. I am truly so happy to be a part of a group that really is close knit just like a family. It makes me very excited to come to work everyday.”
We are excited to have Mr. Sowles here and look forward to the impact he will make in our classrooms and throughout our school community!

Frozen Friday is Back! This is one of the Elementary students' favorites! Students can purchase an ice cream treat on Fridays for $1.
Oregon-Davis Archery Club had the opportunity to help out in the NASP booth at the Indiana State Fair on Friday, August 21, 2026. Grace and Caitlyn received many compliments on how well they interacted with visitors. The girls helped others shoot arrows and shared all their archery knowledge! Great job, girls; we are proud of you!
Breakfast Bingo with Grandfriends is back for our 7th-12th graders!
Please RSVP by September 1st to be able to enjoy bingo and biscuits and gravy!
The fun happens from 8:00-9:00 AM CST on September 4th!

A big thank you to Starke County EMS for their quick response and assistance today at our Jr./Sr. High School.
One of our students was injured during PE and required medical attention and transport to the hospital. His parents are with him, and he is receiving the care he needs.
We wanted to share this brief update to help put the minds of our parents and community at ease, especially for anyone who may have seen emergency vehicles at the school.
A special thank you as well to our Oregon-Davis staff members who responded quickly, assisted the student, and helped throughout the situation.
We appreciate Starke County EMS and all of our local first responders for always being there when we need them. ❤️🖤

Today’s storms left quite a mess on many of our roads. Given the current road conditions, along with the potential for fog in the morning, Oregon-Davis Schools will operate on a two-hour delay tomorrow, Wednesday, August 12.
We hope the extra time allows for improved road conditions and better visibility in the morning.
We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow. Stay safe, Bobcats! ❤️🖤🐾

All of our buses have safely dropped off their students for the evening, with the exception of Bus 1, which is still completing its route.
A BIG shout-out to our amazing staff, and especially our bus drivers! Given the circumstances today, our staff absolutely knocked it out of the ballpark. They stayed calm, kept our students safe, and helped keep them comfortable and reassured throughout the storm. We could not be more appreciative of how everyone responded today!
The good news is that power has been restored to the school. We will, however, be under a boil order for the next 72 hours. We will have bottled water available for students at school. Students are also more than welcome to bring an extra bottle or two of water from home, especially if they tend to drink a lot throughout the day.
Thank you to our parents and families for your patience, flexibility, and understanding today. We know situations like this can be stressful for everyone, and we truly appreciate your support.
Tonight, we will continue monitoring road conditions and power outages throughout the district to determine whether we will be able to begin school on time tomorrow. We will communicate any changes as soon as a decision is made.

Due to the active tornado warning, all students and staff are sheltering in place. During an active tornado warning, students will not be released from the building, including to parents/guardians who arrive at the school. Students and staff will remain in designated tornado shelter areas until an all-clear has been issued by school administration based on information from appropriate weather or emergency management authorities. Once the threat has passed and the all-clear is given, normal dismissal and parent/guardian pickup procedures will resume. Thank you for your understanding.
