Due to the weather this winter, we have had to cancel school more than usual. The Indiana Department of Education has granted us a waiver for the day missed on January 26, when the state was under a State of Emergency declaration.
With that said, February 16, March 27, and May 1 will now be make-up days, and students will be in session on those dates. Although March 27 was not originally designated as a make-up day on the school calendar, school will be in session that day. If a student or family had preexisting plans on March 27, the absence will be excused if the student brings a note from a parent or guardian indicating those plans.
The good news is that, unless additional cancellations occur, the last student day of school will remain Friday, May 22.
Thank you for your flexibility and continued support as we work to meet state instructional requirements while minimizing disruption to our families.

Students in grades 4-6 who were present 90% of the days in the second 9 weeks, have all on-grade level or above grade-level scores, are amicable, and have a great attitude were invited to go ice skating at Howard Park and then lunch at Barnaby's Pizza in South Bend on Monday! It was a pleasure celebrating the students.

We will once again see wind chills approaching 20 degrees below zero.
We do not anticipate having to cancel tomorrow. However, in the event the forecast changes or road conditions deteriorate and we cannot safely hold school, we will notify families as soon as possible. Typically, that decision is made before 7:15 a.m.
Please use caution, stay safe, and keep warm during the inclement weather.
Although we may see slightly warmer temperatures and wind chills in the morning, we are anticipating deteriorating road conditions due to blowing and drifting snow forecasted for this evening.
If conditions worsen and a cancellation becomes necessary, we will notify families as soon as possible. Typically, that decision is made before 7:15 a.m.
Please use caution, stay safe, and keep warm during the inclement weather.

Although temperatures may still be very cold at the delayed start time, the delay will allow our buses to pick up students during daylight hours. We do not anticipate having to cancel tomorrow, but we will monitor conditions in the morning, and if a cancellation becomes necessary, we will communicate with families as soon as possible.
Although I am a Boilermaker fan and alumni, Go Hoosiers! Bring home a National Championship to the great state of Indiana.
Thank you, and have a good evening.
Although temperatures may still be very cold at the delayed start time, the delay will allow our buses to pick up students during daylight hours. We will continue to monitor conditions in the morning, and if a cancellation becomes necessary, we will communicate with families as soon as possible.
Please have a plan in place in the event a cancellation is warranted.
Thank you, and have a good evening.
Please stay safe, and if you need to travel, drive carefully.
Due to inclement weather and forecasted snowfall, Oregon-Davis Schools will operate on a two-hour delay for Thursday, January 15th.
We will continue to monitor the weather and road conditions and will communicate if an e-Learning Day becomes necessary in the morning. If you have to go out, please drive safely.
