Last week, all elementary students were trained on the Standard Response Protocol. This includes Active Intruder Training, Secure Hold, Power Outage Protocol, Tornado Drills, etc. Here is a handout for families to speak with their children about the Standard Response Protocol. The state mandates each school corporation to conduct an Active Intruder Drill within the first 60 days of school.

600 North, just north of the school, is being prepped to be repaved on Wednesday, October 9th. The northern entrance to the school will be closed all day Wednesday, October 9th, due to that stretch of 600 N being closed for repaving. The road is currently open at this time, however, the lanes are uneven and would recommend avoiding that area if at all possible. We are excited to get this stretch of road paved and it will make travel so much safer for our students, families, and community members.
